New Buccaneer Safety Patrol Golf Cart

Safety Patrol Chairman Al Peirolo accepted the keys to the new Buccaneer Safety Patrol Golf Cart from Buccaneer Homeowner’s Association President Jack Casey on February 15, 2006. Others shown observing the event were Don Barton and Sid Hanko.

The fully reconditioned 2004 Club Car Golf Cart was purchased and customized at A-Golf Carts in North Fort Myers. The cost of the Golf Cart was shared between the Buccaneer Homeowner’s Association and breakfasts put on by the Safety Patrol members during the last 18 months.

The members of the Safety Patrol have been waiting a long time for the replacement of the 1985 Club Car Golf Cart they had been using to do their nightly patrols. The visible deterrent of the Safety Patrol Volunteers has reduced the number of times the Lee County Sheriff’s Offices has been called to the Buccaneer by 50% in 2005, compared to previous years. Safety Patrol Chairman Al Periolo and his crew of Safety Patrol Volunteers are now ready to go.
