Welcome back to everyone. Hope you had a good summer and things weren't too bad when you returned. We know some of you had a great deal of damage. If we can help you in any way be sure to ask. Our November meeting will be November 19th at 7:00 PM at the Recreation Hall and we are requesting that everyone bring Finger Food. The entertainment will be the "TURNER TAPPERS", a senior dance troupe, who not only dance but also have a vocalist, colorful costumes and comedy skits. From all reports they are really good. Penn Pals is a state club for previous residents of Pennsylvania and neighboring states (New York, New Jersey, etc.) and we meet the third Friday of the month, November to April. Dues are $2.00 per person per year and we assure you, you will get your monies worth. Programs are all set up and they sound good. The Christmas Party will be December 10th. It will be a dinner with the "Kookie Band" for entertainment. If you have any questions, you may call me at 995-4818. There is always an article in the Buccaneer Newspaper keeping everyone advised as to what is going on. Be sure to check it out. We look forward to seeing you.

Buccaneer Library
Fran Zeno
I would like to express my thanks to Barbara Kasper for her help since I broke my ankle in July. She sorted the books donated by you, examined them for date and condition, typed the labels, put transparent covers over the labels and arranged them in their proper space on the shelves in that area of subject. They were placed in the area on the shelves that held the books of the type you are interested in reading. She was also in charge of the book corner at the Bazaar. Talk to Barb and she will tell you who helped her while I was gone. There were several. Now that I am mobile again, you will see me but I hope you all will be as lucky as I was when you needed help.
By the way, the Association donated a ladder to us. We short librarians are grateful.

Buccaneer Sewing Unit
Gloria Stuart
The Unit will conclude this season on Thursday, April 24th. We have accomplished much this season and will now prepare to make delivery of our things to Hope Hospice on Diplomat Parkway very soon.
At this time I want to give a special Thank You to Kay Wilson for the outstanding work she has done over the years. She has spent many hours at home using her own sewing machine for the dozens of neck pillows, after which our ladies fill the pillows and finish sewing them by hand. We really appreciate her time, effort and dedication with this.
We will resume on Thursday, October 2nd and would also like to welcome more ladies to join us at that time. We meet at the Hospitality House at 9:00 AM each Thursday morning.
